Security guards and medical staff keep tourists safe along the coast

Ervin Hoxha, Minister of the Interior and Albana Koçiu, Minister of Health presented an additional measure designed to enhance security along the coastline of Golem.

Approximately five kilometers of coastline have been equipped with modern facilities for rapid response in the event of maritime emergencies. On the beach of Golem, the implementation of a project endorsed by the Polish Embassy in Tirana is underway. This initiative entails the installation of rescue equipment that is accessible to the general public.

The device, designated the “Life Stand,” incorporates a lifeguard, a sound signaling system, and an integrated lighting system. In the event of an emergency involving a person in the water, the integrated lighting system is activated, attracting the attention of nearby vacationers and alerting them to the situation. The combination of these elements, equipped with solar-charged batteries and an electronic control and notification system for emergency services, enables the immediate transmission of an alarm in the event of a potential danger.

The Ministry of the Interior has increased the presence of security forces in the area, which work in conjunction with medical personnel to ensure the safety of tourists and provide immediate assistance in the event of an emergency. The National Emergency Service and its personnel, who have undergone training to enable them to respond effectively to critical situations, are prepared to intervene at any time. Furthermore, the summer health centers located near the beaches and the medical staff at these centers continue to provide support and medical advice to ensure a safe and peaceful holiday season.
